Job description

Within the ODAL research project, intelligent AI-based assistance systems for modular control systems are being developed together with industrial partners (e.g. 50Hertz Transmission GmbH). One focus here is on the transparent detection of erroneous or corrupted measurements using artificial intelligence. Current XAI approaches can provide relevant additional information (e.g. feature importance values), but this is often not sufficient to determine the actual causes of anomalies. The automated identification of anomaly causes (e.g. technical malfunctions or cyber-attacks) can accelerate the response to anomalies and significantly improve the practical applicability (e.g. in control systems) of such AI methods. For this, the Advanced System Technology (AST) Branch of Fraunhofer IOSB in Ilmenau seeks from the earliest possible time a research assistant for the working group “electrical energy systems”.
