Last date to apply: We are continuously accepting applications As an Auto Hot Press Operator at Husqvarna Construction in Columbia, SC , you will operate tooling, equipment, and materials for hot press sintering of powdered metal diamond segments. You’ll assemble required tooling and parts inside mold frames for sintering, ensuring quality production for blade and bit manufacturing. SHIFT : 2nd, Monday – Friday, 2:30-11:00 p.m. with occasional overtime and some Saturdays. RESPONSIBILITIES: Methods: Prepare, assemble, disassemble, and store graphite mold assemblies. Sort and separate mold parts from completed segments. Comply with EPA, environmental, and OSHA safety regulations. Machinery: Select and organize proper tooling for production. Operate manufacturing equipment and select hot pressing programs per work orders. Clean equipment between production runs. Measurements: Perform quality checks, including micrometer measurements and hardness/density tests. Collaborate with Quality Control to refine inspection techniques.
