Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Work Shift: All Work Shifts (United States of America) Perioperative Care Tech – Inpatient Surgery – St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital Shift/Schedule: - Full Time - Scheduled for 40 Weekly Hours (8 Hour Shifts) - Shift Times - Rotating Days/Evenings (Availability Required for 6:30a-3p, 9a-5:30p, and 11a-7:30p Shift Times) - Rotating Weekends THIS IS A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING UNIT POSITION: JOB SUMMARY: Perioperative Care Technicians support the intra-operative team by establishing and maintaining a clean working environment for the staff and our patients. PCT's are responsible for room turnover, assisting with set-up and turnover of anesthesia supplies, and maintaining stock levels within the OR suites. PCT's provide assistance with transferring and positioning patients within the operating rooms. As part of the intra-operative team, frequent errands to the blood bank, pathology, and other areas of the hospital are required to meet care and patient prep requirements.
