Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: ***Must have Cardiology Experience*** Under the supervision of the supervising cardiologist and in collaboration with the nuclear medicine technologist, this role evaluates patients referred for cardiac stress testing in accordance with established guidelines. Responsibilities include reviewing patient’s medical histories and performing focused cardiovascular assessments prior to testing. The position administers exercise and pharmacologic stress tests with nuclear medicine, and exercise treadmill stress tests. It also involves placement of IV’s, assisting in the administering Definity contrast enhancing agents and performing agitated saline bubble studies when indicated per protocol for patients undergoing echocardiograms. Additionally, the role provides initial patient management in the event of arrhythmia or other adverse events that may occur during stress testing.
