Physician Extender

Job description

The Physician Extender provides care to patients exclusively within the medical practice setting. He/she cares for a variety of patients, incl. professional athletes, and their musculoskeletal injuries, supporting the supervising physician in clinic as part of the initial patient assessment, follow-up visits and post-operative care. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in health related field. Certification: National Athletic Trainer Association (NATA) and state Athletic Trainer Certification if applicable. CPR certification. Experience: Minimum of one year working in a training capacity in a competitive athletic setting. One year experience in orthopedic setting preferred. - Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources. - Adheres to the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement. - Demonstrates support for the Tenet Corporate Compliance Program by being knowledgeable of compliance responsibilities as expressed in the Code of Conduct; adhering to federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures policies that affect his/her specific job functio...
