BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Promotes family-centered care by providing services to meet the psychosocial, emotional, and developmental needs of patients and families. REPORTS TO: - Director—Child Life JOB REQUIREMENTS: Supervisory Responsibilities: No: Minimum Education: Bachelors Degree: Degree: Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Child Life, or other related field License/Certification Required: Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) or eligible to sit for the Child Life Certification exam Minimum Work Experience: 6 months related experience, which can include worksite educational experience REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: - Must possess excellent communication skills with diverse populations. - Must have the ability to problem solve and work independently and must have strong interpersonal skills. - Some computer skills helpful. - Must meet physical requirements of this position.
