Job Description Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Health Technician in Long Beach California at Tibor Rubin VA Medical Center. The Health Technician is a multi-skilled health professional who works interdependently with other health care professionals to provide quality health care for the patient. The Health Technician is educated and trained to perform both administrative and clinical skills in the medical care environment. The Health Technician is directly responsible to the nurse manager or any other appointed supervisor in the facility. QUALIFICATIONS: - Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. - American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a condition of employment. - Basic certification in the performance of Phlebotomy procedures. - Demonstrates knowledge and competency in performing electrocardiograms (ECGs), including proper lead placement, operation of ECG equipment, and basic recognition of common rhythm abnormalities. - Performs ECGs based on the clinical needs of the patient, ensuring timely completion, accurate tracing acquisition, and appropriate communication of any urgent or abnormal findings to the r...
