Classification Title: Lecturer Job Description: The Department of Chemistry at the University of Florida invites applications for a 12-month, full-time , non-tenure track position at the rank of Lecturer (working title of Assistant Instructional Professor) in the area of Analytical Chemistry to begin August 16, 2025. The successful candidate will be expected to teach analytical and general chemistry courses and associated laboratories, maintain instrumentation in teaching laboratories, develop and contribute to the implementation of effective pedagogical materials and course curriculum at the undergraduate level (including electronic course management and online material), manage and train graduate teaching assistants, maintain and sustain an appropriate safety culture, mentor undergraduate students, and collaborate with faculty in and outside the department. Submission of proposals focused on chemistry education will be encouraged. Teaching faculty are fully integrated into the department and have the opportunity to participate in department, university, and professional service activities.
