Responsibilities and Impact: - Perform day-to-day administrative duties on Microsoft SQL Server instances, including backup, restore, and general troubleshooting. - Develop and maintain SSIS jobs and write Transact-SQL code for database management and optimization. - Conduct performance tuning to enhance database efficiency and responsiveness. - Collaborate with software engineers to develop solutions using open-source PostgreSQL or other cost-effective alternatives. - Participate in initiatives to modernize infrastructure, reducing reliance on SQL Server by leveraging cloud technologies.
