Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Residential Services Coordinator, assists in the personal care and treatment of individuals with intellectual disabilities in a residential setting. Candidate is responsible for implementation of skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs developed to maximize an individual's potential for increased independence. Typical duties include: training and assisting residents in daily living skills such as personal care; interpersonal communication skills; household cleaning; meal preparation and laundry; implementation of Behavior Treatment Plans which may include the use of therapeutic physical and verbal intervention; maintaining required documentation; and assisting residents in participation in community activities.
