Job description

A non-exempt medical office position that performs nuclear medicine procedures used for diagnosis and treatment. Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources. Adheres to the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement. Demonstrates support for the Tenet Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct, including adhering to all laws, regulations, and reporting compliance issues promptly. Responsible for proper operation of nuclear medicine equipment in performing various complex nuclear cardiology studies. Prepare, calibrate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals and/or pharmaceuticals, as directed by a nuclear cardiologist who is an authorized user on the Radioactive Material License (RML). Prepare patients for all testing procedures. Monitor patient’s electrocardiogram (ECG) and vital signs before, during, and after stress testing, as directed by a physician. Perform computer acquisition and processing of complex nuclear data and images for interpretation by nuclear cardiologists.
