Market America a Global Product Brokerage and Internet Marketing company that specializes in One-to-One Marketing, is seeking a Director of Purchasing for our Purchasing – Supply Chain team. The Director of Purchasing will manage the overall operations of the Purchasing Department to ensure that inventory and goals are met in a timely and effective manner. Directs and supervises any lead and managerial staff. Essential Function and Responsibilities: Strategy & Planning - Develops and manages purchasing and sourcing strategies and procedures to ensure proper levels at all locations, domestic and international, for continuous supply of goods and high inventory turns. - Identifies, recommends, and implements forecasting processes and systems to meet company goals and reduce costs. - Monitors potential inventory issues (backorders, expirations, etc.) with lead for informing Product Managers. - Directs employee workload and provides training and resolution to ensure optimal productivity for strategic departmental goals. - Identifies proper sourcing for new products and related components. - Directs, supports and maintains domestic and international supplier relationships to ensure effec...
