The Department of Facilities Management supports the mission of the University of Denver's physical resources in order to provide a healthy and safe educational environment for campus community through services of the departments of Capital Projects and Planning, Facilities Management, Parking & Mobility Services, Auxiliaries & Real Estate, and Business & Operations. Position Summary: This position performs skilled work in the electrical trade area. This is a journeyman level position which works with little or no supervision. May also perform tasks in other trades to a limited degree depending on the needs of the University. Essential Functions: In addition to following the University of Denver’s policies and procedures, principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Lays out, installs and repairs wired fixtures, other items, and equipment in making extensions, additions, or alterations in electrical service for power, HVAC, and lighting systems. - Tests, replaces, and repairs components of defective or worn-out electrical systems and equipment such as motors, pumps, generators, boiler controls, scoreboards, and other items. - Traces and locates defects in various t...
