Description The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering in the Tagliatela College of Engineering at the University of New Haven is seeking an innovative, dynamic, and energetic academic leader to serve as the department chair beginning in Fall 2024. The individual will also hold the Lambrakis Professorship in Mechanical Engineering for three years, renewable for a second three-year term. The department is strongly committed to excellence in teaching and research at the undergraduate and graduate levels, developing external funding to support its mission, and growing its collaborations with industry. The department comprises 9 full time tenured/tenure track faculty, of which 5 are mechanical engineers. The BS and MS programs in mechanical engineering have enrollments of about 110 and 90, respectively. MS programs in industrial engineering and engineering and operations management are also offered.
