Description The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) Library invites applications for the position of Instruction Librarian. This is a tenure-track faculty appointment starting at the rank of Assistant Professor with a full-time, 12-month contract. UTC Library welcomes candidates new to the profession as well as experienced candidates to apply. Responsibilities: Reporting to the Department Head of Research and Public Services and Director of Research Services, this position will be responsible for: - collaborating with librarians and faculty to deliver innovative instruction on research methods, information literacy, academic skills, and related topics; - conducting one-on-one research consultations with faculty, staff, and students; - participating in the development and maintenance of subject guides, tutorials, and other online materials relevant to instructional services; - staffing the Research Services desk for approximately 6-8 hours per week; - engaging in academic departmental liaison duties in specific subject areas to be determined; - developing a scholarly research agenda consistent with a tenure-track appointment; - contributing service efforts to the library, u...
