Opportunity for a Rigger working with ENKA UK on the Hinkley Point C Project, Main Responsibilities: - Examining and assessing loads to determine the best way to move and lift them safely and efficiently. - Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability. - Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools. - Selecting the appropriate rigging equipment, such as cables, ropes, slings, chains, winches and pulleys according to load weights and sizes. and ensuring they are properly secured and in good condition. - Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces, using chain blocks, lever blocks, wire rope hoist and other equipment. - Operating the lifting equipment and guiding the load during movement. - Tilt, dip, and turn suspended loads to maneuver over, under, and/or around obstacles, using multi-point suspension techniques. - Align, level, and anchor machinery. - Set up rigging on supporting structures such as hoists, and pulling gear, using hand and power tools. - Manipulate rigging lines, hoists, and pulling...
