*This position is open to multiple Burns & Wilcox branch offices across the US.* We are seeking an experienced Commercial Property Underwriter to join our E&S underwriting team. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of the commercial property E&S market, strong analytical and relationship-building skills, and a proven ability to make sound risk decisions. This is a hybrid position with a minimum 3 days in-office. Responsibilities: - Evaluate, analyze, and underwrite diverse commercial property risks within established authority levels, ensuring adherence to Atain’s underwriting philosophy and standards. - Assess exposure, coverage requirements, risk characteristics, CAT model outputs, and financial data to develop appropriate pricing and terms. - Maintain a profitable and diversified portfolio by managing aggregation, monitoring performance, and adjusting underwriting strategies based on emerging trends and results. - Identify opportunities for growth while maintaining underwriting discipline to ensure long‑term profitability. - Develop, strengthen, and maintain productive relationships with wholesale broker partners across the country. - Negotiate pricing, coverage, and terms wit...
