Research and Community Coordinator | 10397 | Fixed Term Contract until 31 January 2028 | 22.2 hours per week | £29,064 to £31,022 per annum pro rata (Scale F) | Dereham, Norfolk Would you like to play a pivotal role in the delivery a once-in-a-generation project at one of Norfolk’s best loved heritage sites? Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse is looking for an enthusiastic, organised and self-motivated individual to help deliver the exciting 250th anniversary project ‘Gressenhall 250: More than a Workhouse’, supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Gressenhall first opened its doors in 1777 as a House of Industry, before transitioning to a Union Workhouse under the national system. As such, it became a refuge and place of last resort for many of Norfolk’s poorest and most vulnerable residents. This project seeks to shed light on the later years of the site’s history as a care home and emergency accommodation for ‘evicted families’ following the creation of the NHS, during a time of significant change to health and welfare in the UK.
