Overview PURPOSE STATEMENT: Ensures all processing, storeroom, distribution, and financial policies are implemented to provide all departments with supplies and equipment. Responsible for restocking departments with needed supplies and adjusting stock levels according to needs. Ability to work with various supply companies using order entry programs to purchase supplies and equipment for the hospital. Maintain par levels of supplies to an acceptable level and within budget. Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Oversees the distribution of supplies according to established par levels and/or special requests. - Oversees the establishment of inventory minimum and maximum levels of official inventory and financial responsibility associated with it. - Coordination with all users of supplies in the hospital to ensure their needs are met. - Assures compliance with all state board of health and rules and regulations pertaining to the department. - Analysis of non-stock inventory levels and the establishment of control systems to maintain acceptable levels. - Writing, implementing and adhering to department related policies and procedures.
