Job Summary: This position includes training and competency for non-laboratory hospital staff in waived and non-waived testing following the regulations and guidelines set by Joint Commission and CLIA standards. Education: - Training and competency for waived point of care tests such as: Urinalysis dipsticks, pregnancy tests, rapid strep tests, pH paper, glucometer, HemoCue and Occult blood rapid tests. (10%) - Training and competency for Moderate complex tests such as: EPOC blood gas and chemistries, iSTAT coagulation, and Provider Performed Microscopy Procedure (PPMP).
