Description Faculty Positions in Materials Science and Engineering, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor The Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE), College of Engineering, University of Michigan, invites outstanding applicants for tenure-track faculty positions at the assistant or associate professor levels (full professor candidates may be considered if the application is exceptional). Areas of expertise include (i) manufacturing of advanced structural materials, and (ii) synthesis/ processing of novel functional soft and/or hard matter. We seek individuals who have demonstrated strong interest and capability in both science and engineering and who are capable of contributing to and leading multi-disciplinary teams. The applicant must hold a Ph.D. degree in MSE or a related field and should be qualified and passionate about teaching undergraduate and graduate courses within the field. We seek candidates who will provide inspiration and leadership in research, and contribute to the academic mission of the institution.
