Position Summary: The Accounting Manager oversees core general ledger activities and key aspects of the close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies. This role is responsible for maintaining a strong internal control environment, partners cross-functionally, and drives process improvements that enhance accuracy and efficiency. The position requires an action-oriented, forward-thinking strategic mindset, with the ability to proactively identify issues and drive effective solutions. Reporting to the Accounting Director , this hybrid Boston-based role directly supervises up to three Senior Accountants. About the Team: The General Ledger Accounting team is an integral part of athenahealth’s Controllership organization, working closely with AP, Procurement, Technical Accounting, FP&A, and IT to support the systems, processes, and controls that enable accurate and reliable financial reporting.
