Sandvik Coromant in Westminster, SC is looking for a CNC MACHINIST SUMMARY: The Grinding Specialist is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating a range of semi‑complex to complex CNC grinding equipment used in the manufacturing of round tools, in accordance with blueprints, engineering specifications, and standard operating procedures. This role includes the setup and operation of equipment such as centerless grinders, cylindrical grinders, cut‑off machines, CNC tool grinders, measuring instruments, and other related manufacturing equipment. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Accurately enter quality, SPC, production, and other required data into designated company information systems. - Perform routine and primary maintenance on assigned equipment; assist the maintenance team with major repairs as required. - Develop, edit, and optimize programs for NC/CNC‑controlled grinding equipment. - Perform all phases of assigned operations in full compliance with company policies and all applicable state and federal safety and environmental regulations. - Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper housekeeping standards in all assigned work areas always. - Achieve established cycle t...
