Job description

Position Summary GW Medical Faculty Associates (MFA) provides Operational and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and other medical services within Washington DC. The role of RN/NRP can function independently or as a part of a larger medical team. The RN/NRP must know one's surroundings and practice scene safety, body substance isolation, and proper body mechanics to ensure safety. The position will provide Advanced Life Support within the RN/NRP scope of practice and standing orders to include medical evaluation, treatment, and stabilization to the sick and injured. Further, they will respond to emergency medical situations involving potential loss of life or bodily injury; maintain (self or scene) control, manage and direct patient care at the scene of a pre-hospital emergency; provide training and instruction to lesser trained personnel; perform required documentation and, other duties as needed. This position will also work within our operational protocols to help with other Operational Medical needs.
