Machine Operator

Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities – Other duties may be assigned. o Perform basic set-ups and operate machines in more than one assigned area o Operate complex equipment and machines in a safe manner o Fit, align and adjust machines or assemblies to meet tolerances and product operating requirements o Work from schedules, shop orders, established procedures, blueprints, and specifications o Identify deviations that can potentially interrupt productivity o Maintain logs and other necessary documents o Work with direct supervision o Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: o Ability to recognize deviation from accepted practices o Ability to operate a variety of machines o Basic understanding of related mechanics, flow control elements and MRP concepts o Visual acuity and manual dexterity o Good verbal and written communication skills Desired Education, Certifications and Experience: o 1-2+ years manufacturing or related work experience o High School diploma or equivalent
