Schedule: Candidate must have the availability to work between 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM Monday to Friday - 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM Weekend and Holiday Rotation Required - 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM Every 3rd Weekend Rotation: Holiday Rotation - One major, one minor Job Description Summary: Provides technical support for outpatient pharmacy with the processing of prescription orders along with preparation and dispensing of patient medications within the three outpatient pharmacies. Job Description: Essential Functions: - Accepts prescriptions, establishes billing/patient charges, documents patients’ allergies correctly, interprets and enters information regarding the outpatient prescription into the computer system. - Serves as call center agent; answers the telephone and assists caller or forwards to appropriate individual (pharmacist, pharmacy administration, etc.). - Prepares and packages medications for outpatient use. - Independently resolves on-line adjudication problems with third party payors. - Replenishes pharmacy stock area and notifies inventory coordinators of concerns.
