Patient Care Assistant - Med/Surg

Job description

As a Patient Care Assistant, you will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse to assist in delivery of patient care including personal hygiene and daily activities transporting patients and equipment, setting up and maintaining patient rooms, and reordering/stocking of supplies. Responsible for coordination of communications and procedures for the nursing unit, process electronic orders and assembling patient’s charts and other necessities. Work Schedule: 0.8 FTE, evenings (3pm-11:30pm) with every other weekend rotation Required Qualifications: Must have one of the following: - High school diploma or equivalent - HS Diploma in progress and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry - Equivalent work experience in lieu of HS diploma or equivalent may be considered - Must have strong organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills with a customer-service orientation. - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. - Demonstrates basic computers skills or the ability to achieve proficiency within 3 months. - Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with patients, vi...
