Full Time (72 Hours Biweekly) Shift: Day/Evening 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Every other weekend and every other holiday Emergency Department: WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital's emergency department will see on average 30,000 patients a year. The emergency department is a 29-bed department including a 6-bed secure behavioral health area General Summary: Provides clinical support services to patient care staff by performing a variety of duties related to patient care. Takes patient vital signs, assists patients with activities of daily living (e.g., bathing, feeding, toileting, etc.), inventories and replenishes supplies and equipment, and performs special assigned and or delegated duties such as performing EKGs, Point-of-Care testing, phlebotomy and splinting. Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions: - Provides general nursing care and personal care assistance to patients, including bathing, dressing, eating, changing bed linens, toileting and positioning. - Assists in the preparation and transportation of patients for tests, procedures, etc. - Monitors patient condition levels; reports changes to the Registered Nurse. - Documentation in ECare pain scale, input and output, re...
