Novastar Prep is seeking a highly specialized, part-time Advanced Mathematics Tutor (Probability Theory) to support an Ivy League mathematics student in a rigorous, calculus-based probability course. This is a unique opportunity to work 1:1 with a high-achieving college student in a deeply conceptual, proof-based learning environment. Subject Tutoring Opportunity: - Advanced Mathematics (Probability Theory): Provide expert-level instruction in a second- or third-year, calculus-based probability course designed for math majors. Topics include discrete and continuous random variables, multivariate distributions, expectation, independence, conditioning, conditional distributions and expectations, the strong law of large numbers, the central limit theorem, random walks, and Markov chains. - This is not a standard statistics course; candidates must be comfortable teaching abstract, proof-based probability at an Ivy League level.
