ABOUT THE ROLE: We are seeking a Electrical Safety Officer to join our team supporting the Los Alamos National Laboratory ! This position is full-time and will be based out of Los Alamos, New Mexico. Responsibilities: Serve as the primary contact on electrical safety and administer the LANL Electrical Safety Program. Act as a resource for LANL employees and managers regarding electrical safety concerns. Conduct incident investigations and determine root causes, developing corrective actions as necessary. Perform workplace condition inspections to identify electrical hazards in various environments. Lead reviews of Integrated Work Documents (IWD) and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Contribute to the development of codes, standards, and specifications for electrical equipment safety. Provide advanced support to engineers/scientists in solving complex technical problems. Participate in the evaluation of controlled items and services for compliance with electrical safety requirements. Perform calculations to determine electrical severity scores for incidents.
