Job Posting Title: East Asian Studies Liaison Librarian Hiring Department: UT Libraries Position Open To: All Applicants Weekly Scheduled Hours: 40 FLSA Status: Exempt from FLSA Earliest Start Date: Jul 01, 2026 Position Duration: Expected to Continue Location: UT MAIN CAMPUS Job Details: Responsibilities Oversee collection development and content management activities related to East Asian Studies. Represent UT Austin by working with other East Asian libraries/collections for consortium/cooperative purchasing of electronic and print materials. Provide research consultation and reference assistance to faculty, students and the community in the fields of East Asian Studies and at all stages of the research lifecycle. Maintain expertise in the academic fields of East Asian Studies, including in both Chinese and Japanese. Establish and maintain relationships within UTL and the community of scholars and researchers related to East Asian Studies. Serve as primary library contact for faculty and graduate students in the fields of East Asian Studies. Participate in committees and scholarly activities to further the mission of UTL .
