Description Project Engineer IV is a position within the Transmission Department to lead the design of complex transmission projects. Candidates are expected to perform a variety of complex tasks, delegating and reviewing routine tasks of Project Engineers as well as Engineering Technicians. Responsibilities include providing technical oversight, subject matter expertise, and overall project leadership. Candidates should be capable of operating with minimal supervision. Requirements: - Lead the transmission design of projects from concept through final design, ensuring project requirements defined by project managers are met, including EMF studies, conductor sizing, induction, impedance, losses, and voltage drop analyses. - Develop transmission equipment deliverables, including packaged equipment specifications, data sheets, RFQs, technical bid evaluations, and purchase recommendations. - Perform and lead routing studies, construction cost estimating, and conceptual line designs. - Calculate and determine required electrical clearances in accordance with NESC and other applicable codes; interpret and apply relevant NERC, FERC, and regional standards and clearly communicate requirem...
