Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor in Chemistry (Non-Tenure Track)

Description The Department of Chemistry at Tufts University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position beginning September 1, 2026 , for an Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor (rank commensurate with experience). This position will play a central role in the design, instruction, and ongoing development of the department’s upper-level laboratory curriculum, with a particular emphasis on evolving the department’s laboratory curriculum toward research-aligned, inquiry-driven models, including the integration of Course-based Undergraduate Research Experiences (CUREs) and/or graduate-level laboratory coursework across multiple subdisciplines. The candidate will primarily teach hands-on laboratory courses and will rotate among laboratory or lecture courses in physical, analytical, inorganic, and organic chemistry as needed, with a goal of implementing and scaling innovative laboratory approaches across the curriculum.
