Job Summary The Patient Service Representative will provide quality and consistent service to patients in the practices or calling in to schedule medical appointments and coordinate procedures. Essential Functions: - Schedule patients accurately and completely and offer appointment alternatives when needed. - Accurately gather patient demographics, insurance and/or financial information to establish patient's account, financial and billing data for the purpose of expediting third party billing and collection self-pay balances. - Promptly and courteously answer phone calls through a multi-line phone system. - Manage interaction from the customer's point of view. - Ensure and respect patient/family and customer confidentiality. - Make necessary interactions to accommodate the diverse needs of patients, families and customers. - Perform administrative duties as assigned, including new patient packets, scanning, updating, and registering all prior patient records. - Other duties as assigned.
