Job Summary A Respiratory Tech Extern is a student currently in the Respiratory program who will perform various tasks to assist with departmental operations. This position provides experience in a clinical setting, supporting the respiratory team while complementing an academic learning program with real-life experience in a clinical respiratory setting. Core Job Responsibilities: - Assists respiratory therapists with non-clinical tasks such as equipment preparation, cleaning, and inventory management. - Shadows licensed respiratory therapists to gain practical insights into patient care and procedures. - Maintains and organizes respiratory supplies and ensure proper storage. - Supports administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and scheduling. - Adheres to all safety and confidentiality protocols within the department. - Performs related duties as directed.
