Job Summary We are seeking Electrical or Controls Engineers to support both systems reliability and engineering design activities. Experience in power generation is desired, but not required. The Electrical and Controls Engineer works to ensure the long-term reliability and performance of plant system(s). This requires the ability to learn systems to the component level, understand underlying issues that may reduce reliability, and effectively develop, present, and drive implementation of improvement plans and maintenance strategies. In addition, this role may include design responsibilities, such as developing and modifying electrical and control system designs, supporting plant upgrades, and ensuring designs meet regulatory, safety, and operational requirements. Electrical and Controls Engineers also perform causal analyses in response to equipment or system failures and develop both corrective actions and improvements to prevent recurrence. Engineers have opportunities to manage special projects, including plant modifications and upgrades, and to take key refueling outage assignments.
