Student - Physics/Film Laboratory/Teaching Assistant

Description: Assistant to the Instructor(s) of the laboratory courses required for Physics on Screen (Phys110). The student TA will help students taking the course through their laboratory work, including problem solving, equipment demonstration, troubleshooting, and preparation. Responsibilities: The student LA will be expected to interact with students in a respectful manner, in keeping with the values of the Physics and Astronomy Community. They will attend a 30-min weekly pedagogy meeting, and attend a three-hour lab. We expect 3.5 hrs of work per week, for roughly 12 weeks. Requirements: - Must be a full-time student at Ursinus College - The student must have completed the Phys121 and Phys122 sequence and have approval of the department AND instructor of the course. Preferred Qualifications: We would prefer a student who has taken both laboratory physics AND has taken Phys110 itself, though having taken courses in the Arts and Humanities and an interest in the combination between fields is most important.
