TITLE: Sociology Adjunct Faculty DEPARTMENT: School of Psychology: REPORTS TO: (Chair, School of Psychology) CLASSIFICATION: Exempt: EFFECTIVE DATE: Immediately: STANDARD WORK HOURS: Varies depending on need EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Part-Time: EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Exempt: J OB SUMMARY: As a Part-time Sociology Adjunct Faculty Member in the School of Psychology at Kentucky State University, the ideal candidate will contribute to the academic mission by teaching courses (residential), providing mentorship to students, and engaging in service activities. The candidate will play a vital role in preparing future leaders and social science related professionals through innovative instruction, scholarly inquiry, and professional leadership. Teaching: - Develop and deliver undergraduate courses in Sociology, including but not limited to general education core and other university service courses for the majors of Nursing, Psychology, Criminal Justice, and Social Work among others (i.e., Principles of Sociology; Race and Ethnic Relations, and Social Change). - Employ innovative and effective teaching methods to engage students in high-impact learning processes. - Contribute to the continuou...
