Full Time (80 Hours/ Biweekly) Shift: Days: Monday through Friday: General Summary: Oversees the activities of the hospital's central supply personnel regarding stocking and furnishing of sterile and nonsterile supplies and equipment. Essential Functions: - Oversees sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment. - Establishes and oversees methods for preparing, handling and storing sterile equipment and materials. - Directs the requisitioning, sorting, labeling and issuing of professional equipment. - Recommends staffing levels, selects and assigns staff, evaluates performance, evaluates/tests competencies (as applicable), provides orientation, training and continuing education of staff, and initiates or makes recommendations for personnel actions. - Develops and recommends department/entity operating budget and ensures that department/entity operates within budget. - Creates policies and procedures for inventory control and issuance of supplies and equipments. - Coordinates and integrates services within the department/service line/entity, with other departments/service lines/entities, and with the System's primary functions.
