Manager, Reporting and Quality Control - Grants Management

Summary Reporting to the Director of Research Accounting and Compliance, this position is a key member of the Sponsored Projects Finance (SPF) management team, responsible for monitoring the quality of grant master data, timely transaction processing, and timely and accurate sponsored account close-out. Ensures appropriate GAAP basis accounting for sponsored agreements. Will consider highly qualified candidates to work remotely within the state of Texas. Will be required to attend work related meetings in Houston occasionally, travel for these meetings will be at the employee’s expense. Job Duties: - Ensures grants master data is maintained to support accurate reporting, decision making, efficiency, and compliance. - Serves as a subject matter expert on the reporting of grants data and the functionality of the grants module in the financial accounting system. - Serves as a liaison between SPF, department research administrators and other central processing areas to assure the appropriate controls and timely processing of transaction against sponsored programs. - Oversees the reconciliation of accounts for the appropriate representation of sponsored revenues, expenses, liabilities,...
