Butterworth Hospital, 100 Michigan St Grand Rapids. Schedule: Full-time,: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Job Summary: Transports all patient populations to and from examinations and treatments. Performs general errands and other routine duties including cleaning equipment, securing supplies, and other tasks as required. Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care. Adheres to unit procedures wherever transport services rendered. Essential Functions: Prepares patient for transport and performs passive and active identification to ensure all patients are properly identified before transporting. Transports all patients and equipment to and from testing and procedure areas including inpatient, outpatient, emergency and high risk Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Effectively communicates with medical employees to ensure all required medical supplies and medications are appropriately transported with the patient including the administering of oxygen when required.
