Platform Engineer II (Edge)

Job description

Location: London, the UK - Hybrid (3 days from the office) The Team: The Edge team within Foundations underpins the performance, reliability and security of our north/south traffic at the boundary between our global systems and the outside world. The team’s scope includes global traffic routing, content delivery networks, proxies, load-balancing, DNS/routing, network security patterns (WAFs, rate limiting, DDoS mitigation), and internet observability at global scale. You’ll work closely with Product Engineering, Security, SRE and senior engineers across Deliveroo to ensure our traffic path is fast, resilient and secure. The Role: As an Engineer II on Edge, you are an experienced contributor whose work will impact team-level goals and metrics. You’ll have the skills to take ownership of individual pieces of work and occasionally lead work within the team. What you’ll do: Technical Delivery: Deliver high quality work within the Edge domain: design, implement, test and operate systems that handle production traffic reliably and at low latency.
