Job description

Advanced Procurement teams, part of strategic sourcing, are the prime procurement responsible to the product management and engineering teams in the product groups. They are in charge, all along the product life cycle, to reduce product cost and risk, translate product requirements into negotiations inputs and objectives and to promote the preferred sourcing strategies. Key for success is the early involvement in the product life cycle to anticipate in appropriate supplier and solution selection, and to create the largest negotiation margin. Close cooperation with the central Product and EMS/ODM/OEM sourcing team is key in the total procurement offering to assure on-time delivery at minimum cost and increase negotiation leverage Profile: The Advanced Procurement Manager must build up a strong relationship with Sourcing organizations worldwide and with the technical and Business Line environment and as such must have a solid technical background and excellent communication skills. His/her main drives are the business objectives. Business and commercial attitude is a must.
