Quality and Food Safety Leader

Job description

Overview Responsible for providing quality and food safety leadership to the Cedar Rapids plant through developing, managing and administering quality and food safety processes. To effectively lead and continually improve the Quality and Food Safety Management System. This position is responsible for ensuring the appropriate quality policies and procedures are utilized in the manufacture of products in order to meet regulatory, customer and consumer requirements. Responsibilities: - Use appropriate quality and food safety management tools to ensure compliance with corporate and plant procedures and specifications. - Ensure adherence to applicable FDA, FSMA, IPM and state/local regulations in all processes at the Cedar Rapids facility. - Develop action plans with Production, Engineering, R&D and Division Quality Assurance to insure that product specifications, analytical procedures, sampling programs and sensory evaluations are appropriate and meet system capability and key consumer requirements. - Develop, implement and sustain plant quality and sanitation programs as assigned. - Supports the development of the strategic quality and food safety plans for the Cedar Rapids plant. - P...
