Resident Advocate: Description The Bridge is in search of a Resident Advocate who will provide direct services to residents in a 100-bed emergency shelter setting for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and women and children experiencing homelessness. Provide direct services by conducting initial intake of residents, provide orientation to educate resident about emergency shelter guidelines, services available, make room assignment; supervise residents to ensure compliance with shelter guidelines and maintain overall safety while providing quality client services. Prepare documentation of services provided in compliance with grants using clear and concise narratives; and maintain statistical records for files as assigned; update daily house census and log report each shift to keep peers abreast of residents’ status. Provide assistance to Food Services staff by conducting daily meal count on all resident’s attending meals. Oversee the residents during meal time to ensure safety and cleanliness.
