An Operating Mechanic A is responsible for operating and maintaining steam & electric generation equipment, including boilers, turbines, pumps, motors, and associated systems. The role involves making regular rounds to monitor equipment performance and ensure safe and efficient operation. Core Responsibilities: - Will perform routine maintenance tasks such as, troubleshooting issues with machinery and making necessary adjustments to optimize plant performance. - Maintain and uphold all safety protocols and regulatory standards while documenting operational data and maintenance activities. Required Education/Experience: - High School Diploma/GED and 1 year of work experience in a relevant field: Power Plant, Merchant Marine, U.S. Navy or another related maritime experience. Relevant Work Experience: - Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in a field such as: a Power Plant, Merchant Marine, U.S. Navy or another related maritime experience, required. - Strong technical skills and attention to detail are essential for this role, required.
