The Administrative Assistant provides essential administrative and clerical support to the dean, chair, faculty, staff, student workers, and guests of the School of Communication & the Arts. This role requires the ability to work independently with good judgment and discretion while contributing to a collaborative and welcoming office environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Administrative Assistant II serves the Department of Strategic & Personal Communication. Maintains Department Chair's schedule and coordinates appointments. Greets visitors and provides professional, courteous assistance. Performs clerical duties including filing, typing, answering phones, and managing email correspondence. Schedules and coordinates events such as CFAW, Experience LU, graduation, and other departmental functions. Schedules, records, compiles, transcribes, and distributes minutes of meetings. Submits and tracks all facilities work orders, print shop orders, and IT Service Tickets. Reserves rooms using 25Live. Maintains a clean and organized academic office environment.
