Job description

The News Anchor serves as the primary presenter of news stories and other content for all platforms in a manner that is clear, engaging, and meaningful to news consumers. This role is a hybrid position that demands a high-level storyteller; in addition to anchoring newscasts, the successful candidate is required to report on major local stories as part of their day-to-day duties. - Multimedia Reporting: Beyond studio duties, you will act as a lead field reporter, responsible for identifying and covering "big stories" that impact the community. - End-to-End Production: Must be proficient in the full production cycle— shooting, writing, and editing —to deliver polished, high-impact segments. - Content Volume: Expected to complete 2 to 3 enterprise or "big story" packages per week for air, in addition to daily anchoring responsibilities. - Clear Presentation: Presents news stories and other content for all platforms in a clear and concise manner. - Journalistic Integrity: Ensures all content meets Nexstar Media Group standards for integrity and production quality. - Digital Engagement: Writes content for the website and interacts with viewers via social media and other eMedia platform...
