QUALIFICATIONS: - Pharm D required - At least 3 years of experience in a hospital pharmacy is desirable. - Must have a current license in the state of Texas. - Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with physicians and various other hospital personnel. - BLS certification preferred. OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE: Category I exposure to blood borne pathogens, frequent exposure to chemical hazards and may encounter radiation hazards. RESPONSIBILITIES: start and stop time, initial inventory quantity, etc. Assures that appropriate products are selected to prepare the dose accurately. - Educate healthcare professionals and patients on medication as well as compounding and dispensing prescribed medications for patient care. - Performs professional and technical activities associated with distribution of medications, maintenance of drug inventory, patient records and patient financial records. - Supervises technicians for assigned areas.
