Job description

Responsible for assisting doctors/nursing staff in ensuring that the basic needs of each patient are met. Daily tasks might include things like cleaning the patient, transferring the patient and monitoring vital signs and health. Principal Accountabilities: 1. Assists nurses with patient activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and transfers 2. Obtains and records vital signs, weights, and heights 3. Assist nurses during pushing phase to set up delivery tables and hold patient as needed. 4. Performs high level disinfection and low level disinfection for surgical instruments. 5. Performs EKG's, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring 6. Observes and reports changes in patients' condition to the RN 7. Maintain supplies in Labor rooms, PACU, Triage, and Antepartum rooms. 8. Assist with Breast pump set-ups for postpartum patients. 9. Assist with maintenance and cleaning of Labor and Delivery euipment as needed. 10. Other related duties as assigned. Required: 1.
